EKUK Climate Unit, as a state-owned company, ensures the organization of the compilation of greenhouse gas (hereinafter GHG) emissions inventories, GHG emission projections, policies and measures, and other GHG emissions and climate change reports in Estonia, and the timely submission of reports to the European Commission and the UN Climate Change Secretariat.

NATIONAL OBLIGATIONS:
- Compiling the national greenhouse gas inventory
- Compiling the national greenhouse gas projections
- Collecting greenhouse gas policies and measures
- Compiling climate change adaptation reports
- Compiling the Biennial Transparency Report
- Compiling the National Communication report
OTHER TASKS:
- Consumption-based inventory of greenhouse gases at the local government level
- Assessment of greenhouse gases footprint and environmental footprint
- Developing GHG reporting methodologies
